Socio-economic empowerment and livelihoods

We are dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through skills development and economic support. Our approach focuses on equipping people with the tools they need to improve their livelihoods, achieve economic independence, and foster sustainable growth within their communities.

Empowering Teenage and Young Mothers

We provide tailored skill-building programs to support teenage and young mothers in gaining financial independence. Our initiatives include:

  • Tailoring & Knitting: Training young mothers in the art of tailoring and knitting to create sustainable income sources.
  • Hairdressing & Bakery Skills: Offering specialized courses in hairdressing and bakery, allowing participants to start their own businesses and create job opportunities for others.
  • Small Business Management: Equipping young mothers with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage small businesses.
Promoting Household Food Security

To ensure that families have access to nutritious food, we provide resources for agricultural development. This includes:

  • Start-Up Farm Implements: Supplying essential tools and equipment to help families start and maintain their farms.
  • Seeds & Fertilizer: Distributing quality seeds and fertilizers to improve crop yields and ensure sustainable food production.
Skills Development for Young Men

We recognize the importance of providing young men with hands-on, marketable skills that open doors to employment and entrepreneurship. Our training includes:

  • Carpentry: Teaching carpentry skills to enable young men to start their own businesses or find employment in construction and furniture making.
  • Welding & Motor Vehicle Mechanics: Providing technical training in welding and motor vehicle mechanics, equipping young men with skills in high-demand industries.
Financial Literacy & Savings Education

Financial knowledge is crucial to building a sustainable future. We work with local Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) to improve financial literacy and encourage better savings practices. Our efforts include:

  • Financial Literacy Workshops: Educating community members on budgeting, saving, and investing to promote financial stability.
  • SACCO Outreach: Providing SACCOs with the tools to educate their members on the benefits of saving and how to make their savings work for them.
