Dear Friends, I am deeply honored to welcome you to the Joshua Cheptegei Development Foundation (JOCDEF). My journey in athletics
The legendary marathoner Eliud Kipchoge giving a speech as the guest of honor during the Joshua Cheptegei Development Foundation 7th edition of the Children’s Christmas Run, alongside other athletes from Uganda and Kenya, notably, Geoffrey Kamworor of Kenya, Jacob Kiplimo of Uganda, Peruth Chemutai of Uganda, among others.
The Joshua Cheptegei Development Foundation was established to create lasting change in communities across Uganda and beyond. Named after the world-renowned Ugandan athlete, Joshua Cheptegei, the foundation draws inspiration from his resilience and dedication.
We aim to uplift communities through various initiatives in education, sports, health, and social welfare, promoting sustainable development and positive change.
“I always loved running, but I never had the right training or support. Through JOCDEF, I received mentorship, equipment, and a chance to compete at a higher level. Now, I believe I can follow in Joshua Cheptegei’s footsteps!”
