Our dream to educate the community thrives
In January, 9-year-old Jovia Kwaga, accompanied by her mother Daphine Kwaga, were hosted at the Foundation offices in Kapchrowa Municipality as they received a scholarship.
Jovia’s plight was brought to the Foundation’s attention by members of the public who saw her soliciting support from well-wishers to enable her continue with studies.
The Foundation carried out due diligence and found her deserving of the bursary.
The Foundation administrator Abraham Kiplimo and the in-charge of sports Njia Benjamin were at hand to receive her and give her scholastic materials in addition.
We also approached Kachorwa Senior Secondary School and entered an understanding to offer scholarships to students who excelled in the Christmas Run held on December 12, 2021.
As a result, six students, who received scholastic materials from the Foundation on January 19, joined Senior 5, Senior 3, Senior 2, and Senior 1.
Hundreds others are in Joshua Cheptegei Junior Academy, formerly Mountain Boarding Primary School. A host of others are in university and at other tertiary institutions.
We hope to extend the scholarships to more needy people when the Foundation comes of age.
